Song of Solomon
Chapter Three
3:1 By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
In my bed I looked continually through the lattice of my heart, which in previous times, my Lover was found. I found Him not. I continued to look, through the lattice of my heart, and yet--I found Him not. I waited, yet He did not come. I prayed, and yet--my Lover did not come.
3:2 I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
My Lover is gone, and I must find Him and seek Him again by way of the Shepherds tents. In the past I searched in the cities, and my soul was in despair. Nevertheless, I will arise again to look to what is familiar to me. I must go and see if I can find people who know of such Love throughout the night. I looked everywhere for my Lover--yet, I did not find Him. I stopped in the street corners to look into the lattice of my heart. My Lover did not come. Oh! Such Love! I am absent from His gaze. I am absent from His rest and beauty. How can I find the One whom my soul loves.
3:3 The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul loveth?
Even the ones who watch over the city did not tell me where I can find my Lover, who rests at noon day. They came to me, and found me. They saw the depth of my heart and they heard the words of my mouth, "Where can I find my Lover? How can I see His again?" Oh! Watchman! "I must find my Lover again." Their words were silent. They embraced me, yet their embrace was not the same as I rested in the chambers of my Lover in past times of bliss. Past times of gasp in His Love and gaze.
3:4 It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.
It was there that I stopped and remembered His perfume. It was there I realized His oils rising up within my heart. It was there I looked through the lattice of my heart, and saw His gaze once again. Oh! Lover! Oh! Lover! When will I learn that You are only found in the residence of perfumes. Oh! Lover! When will I ever learn that I can not find you in the way of the watchman, in the way of the streets, in the way of other people. Oh! I have returned to my mothers house. Your heart of Love of loves! Is the place that You conceived me in the chambers of Your Fruit, in the chambers of Your gaze. I will never let you go oh Lover! I will never again seek You, whom my soul Loves, outside of Your heart of Loves again.
3:5 I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.
Oh! Daughters of Jerusalem, nothing compares to such Love that can be found in the Love of Glories in us. When we loose such gaze, and try to find the one whom our soul Loves, outside of His chambers, outside of the flagons of His Love, our soul seeps into despair and the shadows of our darkness appear again. Oh! Daughters of Jerusalem, let us rest in His gaze! Oh Daughters of Jerusalem let us rest the beauties of His flagons, deep passageways and doorways of His fruit so Divine!
3:6 Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant?
I heard the daughters of Jerusalem reply to my words, asking, "Who is this?" I said to my Lover in secret, "If they only knew that I have been with my Lover. If they only knew it was His perfumes and oils of the smoke of our Love they detect. If only they knew how to rest in His oils. But nevertheless, "They think it is a wilderness. For a wilderness is a place of no tender vines. For the wilderness is a place of no streams of wine. Oh! Lover! That they might come to a place of bliss in Your Love of loves."
3:7 Behold his bed, which is Solomon's; threescore valiant men are about it, of the valiant of Israel.
Oh! Lover of my soul. I love Your bed, which is your heart, our resting place. In Your bed I resign in Your embrace. In Your bed I resign in Your oils, and smoke, and tender perfumes. Our bed is surrounded by all that represents Your Love. Your Divine attributes of Your chambers, which are Your Fruits, and strong like the men of Israel, to fight to protect such Love that is Holy. Oh! Such Holy Love of loves! Nothing can separate us now, oh! Lover! oh! Lover of my soul!
3:8 They all hold swords, being expert in war: every man hath his sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night.
Your Fruits, are like swords, they are ready to protect all the Love of Your Nature, that you so freely give. Your Fruits are like chambers, that surround Your heart, they cause every enemy against such Love to flee! In the secret places of Your flagons, and in the Secret Place of Your perfumes, Your Fruit wages war against even the darkest slight of the soul that is down cast, to cause them to arise and go away in such blisses of Love! In Your Fruit, Your Word goes forth to the innermost thoughts of a soul, to win all those who desire such passionate Love of loves. Nothing can escape such Love if they find You by way of Your perfumes of healing. Nothing can escape such Love if they find You by way of Your Fruit. You arouse and awaken my soul in tender rich soils that have never been touched before. Who? Who? Can stand against such union in Righteous Love?
3:9 King Solomon made himself a chariot of the wood of Lebanon.
You hide Yourself in the pavilions of humanity, like a King, You came to my soul in humility. You caused my soul to steal away in the night, like a chariot decked in the King of Loves, heart. Oh! Beloved! Oh! Beloved! My soul is raptured in such bliss at Your gaze! Oh! Lover! Oh! Lover! My soul is carried away into Your chambers, as You continue to surround me in the boards of gold (Chapter 1) as you keep me abiding in such gasps of Love.
3:10 He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem.
The pillars of Your Love, purify my soul to stand and rest in You. Encircled in Divine Love of bliss and gasp! You cover our union in Royalty of Love and all that is in between Your perfumes bask in our heart, dripping with precious oil. One day! Even the daughters of Jerusalem shall taste and see, such overflowing Love of Your Bliss's of Divine Love for all who come to be subdued in Your chambers, with eyes of doves.
3:11 Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousal's, and in the day of the gladness of his heart.
Oh! Daughters, oh! Daughters! Learn to gaze! Oh! Daughters oh Daughters learn to rest. Behold Him who gives such Divine Love so freely, crowned as King by His own Father, who conceived Him. Gaze upon His Divine Righteous Love, let Him pave Your heart with precious oils and perfumes. He comes! He comes by way of His Fruit. He is the King! The Great Conquest of every soul whom He calls for marriage. Put gladness in His heart oh! Daughters of Zion! Behold His gaze!
